The beer name comes from Charles Quint gold coins, one of the Roman Emperors and principal fond of this beer in the 16th century, especially during his hunts.
Nowaday this beer has the same recipe, which brings a dark, reddish and very balanced beer.

The aromatic malts and the high fermentation combine the wine flavor and the beer refreshiness. A great choice for the kitchen, ideal for stews.

And a perfect match with meat with barbecue sauce.
