BrewDog launched last week its UK Import and distribution division and has already posted some news that could shake the local market.

Stone Brewing Company agreed to use the Scottish structure to distribute its full range of beer in UK. BrewDog will have all the beers, including the famous Stone IPA, Ruination IPA and Arrogant Bastard Ale. The San Diego-based brewery will also make its limited special release beers available to European customers throughout the year.

According to James Watt, BrewDogs cofounder, the company is currently in discussions with several other craft breweries and plans to set up a global distribution network, supplying UK with the best craft beers.

‘Stone has always been an inspiration to us, having been frontline ambassadors of the craft beer revolution in the USA for almost 20 years. This partnership is a natural extension of the passion we share for getting people excited about craft beer and shaking up the status quo.’, said James.

For Stone, this is another step in its European expansion plan. By the end of the year, the brewery will open the doors of its new factory in Berlin to supply not only Germany, but also the nearby markets.

Greg Koch, Stone’s CEO and co-founder is very happy with the deal, specially because he will be able to distribute its beers in a very special process, where the beer will be refrigerated thorough the whole supply chain: ‘We know the BrewDog team will deliver our beer to fans at the peak of freshness.’
