Spareribs glazed with Kriek beer
BE Spare Ribs


2 racks of spare ribs

1 bottle Kriek beer

4 tablespoons of tomato puree

1 tablespoon of honey

2 garlic cloves

Salt and Pepper


1.) Mix the beer, salt, pepper, tomato puree and honey into a smooth sauce. Crush and add the garlic.

2.) Coat the racks throughly with this sauce and let them rest for at least 2 hours in a cool place.

3.) Lay them on an oven tray and cover.

4.) Place the oven tray in a preheated oven at 160°C, until the ribs are very tender, at least for 2 hours.

5.) Uncover and return into the oven closer to the heat source, until it colour nicely.
